This hike begins from Horton Street in Eagle Ranch. After a very short climb, turn onto Horton Trail. School House Rock offers a short climb and then descent. Hockett Gulch is double track and a long, gradual climb up to Tick Alley. Tick Alley gets significantly steeper at the end. From the top the hike is mostly downhill, heading towards World’s Greatest. World’s Greatest is a downhill only section of trail. It is steep and loose in sections and is the most technical section of this hike. At the base of World’s Greatest, turn right onto Elmers Trail. Elmer’s offers some good downhill on single track. When the trail splits, stay left. At the end of Elmer’s, turn right and head back uphill on School House Rock. For an easier walk, at intersection with pole road, turn right and head uphill on the road. Hike ends where it started at Horton Street.
