Special Event Permit Application
Special Events are what make our community unique! In order to hold an event on Town property, you will need to go through the Special Event process. A special event permit is required for any event that meets one or more of the following criteria:
- 200 or more people in attendance
- Alcohol will be consumed
- One or more streets are requested to be closed
- The event will utilize amplified sound
- Multiple vendors
- The event has a significant impact on the community
- SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT APPLICATION is required 60 days prior to the event.
Important Information:
- You will be required to have insurance and name the Town as an additionally insured party.
- For special events involving vendors, it is the responsibility of the event organizer to understand the special event vending requirements. Please visit Eagle County Mobile Vendors for more information.
- If you wish to have alcohol at your event, contact the Town Clerk at least 45 days prior to the event. Email clerk@townofeagle.org.
- Additional permitting may be required for Extra Duty Law Enforcement, Vendor Licensing, Liquor Permit.

SPECIAL EVENTS FUNDING APPLICATION
The Marketing and Events Advisory Committee (MEAC) is currently accepting applications for the 2027 funding cycle. APPLY HERE.
To qualify for MEAC funding, events must support these strategic priorities and objectives:
- Enhance the sense of community for Eagle residents by providing opportunities for connection.
- Balance the quality of life for residents with the need for vitality in our business community.
- Support events and programs that showcase and protect our unique character, traditions, and resources.
- Support cultural events and programs that promote diversity.
- Create clear, concise, and consistent event marketing and communications.
- Actively collaborate with community partners and stakeholders.
Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Presentations will be held at Eagle Town Hall on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
Community Grant Funding Update for 2027
After careful consideration during the Town’s budget planning process, the Eagle Town Council has decided not to pursue funding for community grants as part of the Town’s 2027 budget. As a result, the Town of Eagle will not be accepting or reviewing community grant funding requests for 2027.
We understand this decision may be disappointing to organizations that have participated in the program in previous years. The Town deeply values the important contributions local nonprofits, community groups, and partner organizations make to the quality of life in Eagle and the surrounding region.
We appreciate your understanding and thank all organizations for you continued efforts to strengthen and enrich our community.
