Highlights: Abrams Ridge offers the most challenging terrain on this long West Eagle ride.
Abrams Ridge presents some challenges both physically and technically as the starting section for this ride. The Ridge features some steep uphill sections as well as more technical parts featuring some exposure and narrow trails. From the top of the Ridge begins a couple miles of downhill on double track until reaching the turnoff to single track. The trail between markers 17 and 20 is fun, wide single track through trees, very similar to Star Wars. After turning back onto Pole Road the ride becomes less technical and more straightforward. There is the option to take single tracks at marker 24, or else continue on Pole road for an easier, shorter ride. The ride down Hockett Gulch is easy downhill, and the only uphill beyond this point is the ride up and over School House Rock. The ride ends at Horton street, with a return route to the trail head or parking following Eagle Ranch recreation paths.
