Abrams Creek Connector Trail – Call for Volunteers!

In Blog, Community, Mountain Biking, News

The long anticipated Abrams Creek Connector trail is nearing completion, but we need your help to finish the job!  Approximately 1,000 feet of trail needs to be built on both the Third Gulch and Abrams Gulch ends of the trail.  The Town of Eagle and the Hardscrabble Trails Coalition will be hosting the following upcoming volunteer evenings:

Wednesday, September 6   5:15pm – 7:30pm.   Meet at 5:15 pm at the Arroyo trailhead parking lot, off of Arroyo Drive in Eagle Ranch.  We’ll be completing the Third Gulch end of the trail.

Thursday, September 7   5:15pm – 7:30pm.  Meet at the Abrams Ridge trailhead at 5:15 pm.  Take Eagle Ranch Road, turn right on Abrams Creek Drive, and then right on Silver Spur Road.  Park in the cul-du-sac by the trailhead kiosk.  We will (hopefully) complete the Abrams Gulch side.

Trail building tools will be provided.  Please bring water and your own work gloves (a limited number of spare work gloves be available).  Flashlights are also recommended for those who want to work right up until sunset.  Note:  If anyone can get off work early and would like to start earlier, say 4:00, we could send an early crew in too.  Please contact us if interested.

Thanks to everyone who have helped make this trail a reality!  Help us drive in the golden spike!
