Leave your keys at home and don’t spend a cent to fill up the gas tank. Wednesday, June 27th is Colorado Bike to Work Day and local citizens are encouraged to bike ride or walk to work.
The citizen volunteer ECO Trails Committee, Pedal Power, Towns of Gypsum, Eagle, Avon and Vail and several other local businesses are supporting this statewide event by rewarding citizens who choose to use bicycling or walking to travel to their workplace.
Volunteers will be hosting rest stops between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. at
1. Mayor’s Park in Vail
2. Malin trail bridge in Dowd Junction
3. Avon Highway 6 roundabout
4. Edwards Highway 6 intersection
5. Town Hall on Broadway in Eagle
6. Highway 6 in Gypsum at Eagle Valley High School
Visitors to the rest stops will be offered refreshments as well as free giveaways for making the effort to ride or walk to work.
