Eagle Cancels Eagle’s 2020 Flight Days Celebration and the Eagle July 4th Fireworks Presentation.
The Eagle Town Council has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Eagle Flight Days celebration and our July 4thFireworks presentation. After much consideration from the town council and town staff, concerns about the public health orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the safety of trying to manage such large gatherings at this time, led to the decision to cancel the events for this year. Safety concerns for our community and the logistical challenges of maintaining social distancing with such a large crowds made it a poor choice to go forward with the events. The Kids’ July 4th Bike Parade on July 4th has also been cancelled for this year.
Eagle Flight Days and our July 4th Fireworks presentation are such a big part of the town of Eagle’s summer and a very special time for our community. These are iconic traditions for the town and it is extremely difficult to think of them not happening this year. But the safety of our community and our town staff are paramount to Town of Eagle, so cancelling the event was the clearly the appropriate decision to make at this time. We look forward to bringing these events back next year and making then an even bigger celebration for the people of Eagle.
